School Culture for Achievement

Whether we are students in a learning environment or professionals in the work force, the environment in which we work impacts our happiness, work ethic, and productivity. There is a direct correlation between the culture of the workplace or learning environment and the number of goals reached.

At the core are relationships that build pride in self and in school.

These relationships create an environment conducive to individual and overall success.

There are three components to the most beneficial environment.

  • A cognitively safe environment supports risk taking and collaboration.

  • An emotionally safe environment is free from bullying and facilitates social-emotional growth.

  • A physically safe environment is one where violence is non-existent.

When positive relationships are fostered in a safe environment, self-esteem, tolerance, and hope are more likely. With those traits, achievement elevates organically.

Higher achievement facilitates increased graduation rates and college, career, and military readiness. Then, personal fulfillment and positive contributions to society result. That's a terrific domino effect. Let's get into that cycle, using this funnel.
